Hey, I noticed you have two cresties, I have two as well, and I have a question. I had someone take (proper) care of my cresties for a few days and my bi-colour slight fringe, slight dalmatian turned almost completely black, she used to be medium red-gold. Has this happened to you before? She seems okay. A weird shedding phase perhaps?

I'm calling the animal hospital tomorrow, they have a herpetology division.... but the hospital is 9 hours away.... and the closest.

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, I hope everything is going well with your gecko! Do you have a picture of her? It is common to have a crested gecko and never see them fully fire up. Then one day, you'll take a look at them at you'll swear someone swapped out your gecko for another! If she was overly stressed, or warmer or more humid than normal it may have caused her to fire up completely.

Nah, I found out the issue.
There is BP in my peat (which I had gotten for an emergency because there is nowhere to buy "proper" bedding in town), and it just turned the skin that was ready to shed, black. :) Thanks though~!
